Problems with Imagery

There are a variety of problems that can degrade the quality of the final digital product. Some of these problems are on the film and some are introduced at scan time.

This image shows various pieces of lint that were taken from an image. Lint by far is the most difficult quality problem in scanning as it not only get introduced by people in the scan room but it also comes with the film, the film box, paperwork etc. So diligent lint remove procedures must used for every scan.
